Orange Empress is a melting pot of rock and pop through the ages, mixing your dad's favourite music with the tunes of today. Think Oasis meets Zeppelin meets Holy Holy meets South Summit meets Sticky Fingers meets Midnight Oil, seasoned with anything else you might find on your uncle's iPod Nano. Comprised of frontman Juzzy, guitarist Marcus, bass player Dylan and drummer Daniel, Orange Empress has a pedigree of performance within the Sydney music scene, including acts such as Krystal Rivvers, Violet Harbour and Large Mirage. The band originally emerged as The Spooked Kooks out of COVID lockdowns, burning bright before going into hibernation. Now, with a slightly tweaked lineup and a wealth of songs recorded and ready for release, the band has risen from the ashes again as Orange Empress. This is a band synonymous with whatever the word is for a bustling show followed by an afterparty, and it plans to launch into the second half of 2026 with big gigs and big releases.
